"Please, please forgive me,
But I won't be home again.
Maybe someday you'll look up,
And, barely conscious, you'll say to no one:
"Isn't something missing?"

--Maybe she did something to deserve the betrayal, so she's asking for forgiveness. She's so ashamed of what she did, she's running away from her problems, physically or mentally, and she's hoping that maybe the person she wronged won't be too angry and eventually miss her.

"You won't cry for my absence, I know -
You forgot me long ago.
Am I that unimportant...?
Am I so insignificant...?
Isn't something missing?
Isn't someone missing me?"

-- Even though she's hoping that the person will forgive her, she knows that they won't care if she goes- they're that angry. She feels that if they could forget her that quickly, she must me insignificant and unimportant. She wasnts somebody, anybody, to miss her.

"Even though I'm the sacrifice,
You won't try for me, not now.
Though I'd die to know you love me,
I'm all alone.
Isn't someone missing me?"

-- The person she'd betrayed is 'sacrificing' her, and she knows that they won't stop just because she feels bad about it. She is still in love with the person, but she knows that they hate her.

"Please, please forgive me,
But I won't be home again.
I know what you do to yourself,
I breathe deep and cry out,
"Isn't something missing?
Isn't someone missing me?"

-- Again, she wants to be forgiven for what she did, and she's saying again that she won't be home again. Maybe the person to whom she's singing is upset about the whole affair and hurts themselves, and she wants them to stop because she still feels somehting for tem. And still, she wants to be noticed and missed.

"And if I bleed, I'll bleed,
Knowing you don't care.
And if I sleep just to dream of you
I'll wake without you there,
Isn't something missing?
Isn't something... "

-- The girl knows that no matter what she does, the one she loves still won't care about her. This part is her basically professing her love.
